Thanks to proud father Art Kameda for the heads up about Shoji Kameda’s contributions to Stevie Wonder’s performance at last night’s Democratic National Convention. You can see Shoji on drums about 2:40 into the video.
Of course, we Jeffersonians are no strangers to Shoji’s immense talents. Shoji, who grew up in Mt. Shasta, started playing taiko at the age of 8 and has played continuously ever since, and recently performed with his ONensemble at the 2008 Shasta Taiko event this past July. His excitement about being asked to play with Stevie Wonder and Take 6 at the 2008 DNC is palpable when you check out Shoji’s blog.
Thanks, Shoji, for yet another ‘bright moment.’ Congratulations to the Kameda family – you done good!
