The goal of The Jefferson Agrarian is to foster knowledge, understanding and appreciation of some of the literary, visual and performing art developments, primarily in Siskiyou County, and secondarily in the southern Oregon and Superior California inland regions.
The term Superior California inland region refers to the area roughly from Red Bluff to the Oregon border on Interstate 5, and broadly includes the areas around Weaverville, Happy Camp and Tule Lake. The term also reflects the fact that the far northern region of Siskiyou county is in a netherland area roughly the size of Connecticut, and its usage refers to a dictionary definition of:
Superior
[Anatomy. (of an organ or part)]
1. a. higher in place or position; situated above another
2. b. toward the head
